Creating dashboards and reports with existing data is one thing, but what if you want to show something like the ROAS of a campaign on your dashboard? This is something that has to be calculated, Power BI allows you to make your own calculations in DAX. In theory you should be able to use Power BI without knowing any DAX, but in practice we will always need to create at least one or two measures to create the dashboard we really want to create.
What’s on the curriculum?
In this course we dive deeper into the backend of Power BI. You will learn about the importance of building a good data model and learn to understand the consequences of data model design decisions. We called it Power BI DAX for a reason: you will learn all about calculated columns and measures, and you will gain familiarity with DAX patterns.
Theoretical knowledge is great, practical experience is much better. We will put you to work during this course by providing many exercises to make sure you really understand how DAX formulas are built, so after this course you will be able to put your new skills to use.
This is the standard schedule we propose, would you like to change the schedule or the contents of this workshop? No problem, send us a message and we will adjust the agenda to suit you.
